Alex Meixner Band


Kicking off the Downtown Indiana Octoberfest is the Alex Meixner Band! Alex Meixner is a nationally acclaimed musician, performer, bandleader, educator and a leading advocate of polka music. Formally trained in classical, jazz and ethnic music, Alex has cross-pollinated his versatile playing styles through pop music, funk, jazz and polka. He is an active ambassador for polka music, revitalizing interest coast to coast resulting in sold out shows, renewed cultural interest, and growing mainstream acceptance.

All seats general admission.

Poeming Through the Dark is an inclusive space meant for cultivating connection & community through poetry & self-expression. Based in Western Pennsylvania, this project & our events aim to let words light a path toward something new, bringing together passionate poets & curious listeners to create an illuminating open-mic experience. Join us, bring your words or someone else’s words, bring your friends, & revel in the power of art & joy with hopes of creating a future through the dark.

A world-famous pianist loses both hands in an accident. When new hands are grafted on, he doesn’t know they once belonged to a murderer.

Black Ridge returns to the theater with their high energy Rock and Soul! With them will be Northern Appalachian Folk Fest’s breakout band, The Jaded Lips, from Altoona, PA

Harvest Festival & Halloween Kick-off


Leap’s Farm Presents: Harvest Festival & Halloween Kick-off

Doors open at 5:30pm with farm and craft vendors–free entry! Adopt a pumpkin and support local farmers and artists. Free pumpkin-sitting during the film screenings!

Come for the vendors….stay for the movies! See each movie for $7, or both for $10

7pm Night of the Living Dead: The story follows seven people who become trapped in a farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania, which is under assault by a group of undead ghouls. It is frequently identified as the first modern zombie film.

9pm Legend of Boggy Creek: A documentary-style drama about the “Fouke Monster”, a Bigfoot-type creature that has been sighted in and around Fouke, Arkansas since the 1950s.

Famous fictionalized documentary showing the evolution of witchcraft, from its pagan roots to its confusion with hysteria in Eastern Europe. It is considered a masterpiece for its combination of documentary-style and narrative storytelling, as well as its visual imagery.
