Event Staff (Contract Position)

The Downtown Theater project is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as event staff. As a non-profit dedicated to restoring the Indiana Theater, we rely on our production team to bring our events to life. The ideal candidate will be available nights and weekends on an as-needed basis. Acceptance onto the staff team does not guarantee hours, and you may select which events you would like to work. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Duties may include staffing the house, serving concessions, or running simple equipment. Grant Writing Summer Internship

The Downtown Theater project is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a grant writing intern for the summer months of May through August. As a non-profit dedicated to restoring the Indiana Theater, we rely on grants to make our mission a reality.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the grant writing process and be able to assist in seeking out, writing, and maintaining grants. This is a part-time hybrid role (remote and on-location), and the ability to participate in events is a must. The hours are flexible and may include weekends.

If you are looking to gain hands-on experience in non-profit work and make a positive impact in your community, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Please note that this is an unpaid position. However, there is a possibility for contract work that goes beyond the scope of your internship duties and the opportunity to continue a relationship beyond the internship. Marketing and Social Media Summer Internship

The Downtown Theater project is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing and Social Media Intern for the summer months of May through August. As a non-profit dedicated to restoring the Indiana Theater, we rely on effective social media presence to connect with our audience and promote our mission.

This internship will include assisting in maintaining and increasing marketing through both print and social media campaigns. Some assistance in ongoing event planning and build marketing and organizational strategies for upcoming events will also be required. The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc and have some knowledge of targeted growth. The ability to create and execute a social media strategy is a must. Knowledge of Tailwind, Hootsuite, or similar preferred. This is a part-time position; the hours are flexible and may include weekends. The position will include some hybrid structure (remote and on-location).

Production and House Management Summer Internship

The Downtown Theater project is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Production and House Management Intern for the summer months of May through August. As a non-profit dedicated to restoring the Indiana Theater, we rely on our production team to bring our events to life. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our Production Manager with light, sound, and A/V work within the theater. This role requires the ability to carry up to 50lbs and to work with ladders. Availability on some weekends and evenings is a must. Position is part-time with some flexibility of hours. GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
